Bubble Tilda for Totally Tilda

Good morning and Happy Sunday to all.  I'm running late this morning as although I had this card made, and the pictures uploaded to my blog, I totally forgot that I hadn't blogged it....what am I like. Senior moment or what?

Anyway, this is my DT card for the new challenge over at Totally Tilda, and this time it's soooo easy, it's to use a SITTING TILDA.  That's it, no special theme, no required colours, go mad, whatever floats your boat, as long as your creation has a Magnolia Tilda on it and she's sitting, you're good to go.

This is my card, I used Bubble Tilda and coloured her with Copics.  I'm in a rush so I don't have the colours for you today, but I'll try and add those later.

I decided to go with coloured hair again as I enjoyed it so much the last time, and this time I went for a lovely Lilac colour.  Hopefully she doesn't look too much like she's had a blue rinse! The shape of the card is cut with a Go Kreate die.

I added some glitter to the water and the bubbles. Papers are from the beautiful Maja Sofiero Collection.

I used an MFT frame die and a Joy Crafts Butterfly circle die (I'll come back this afternoon and add links, I just have soo much to do this morning!).

The gorgeous sparkly ribbon and the pearls, pearl trim and pearl strings are from The Ribbon Girl, along with some of the flowers. The fab square diamante embellie is from The Handcrafted Card Company, I coloured it and the flatback gems with Copics to match my card.

Stamp: Bubbles Tilda
Paper: Maja Design, Sofiero, The Magnificent Flowerstreet and A Picnic in the Park
MFT - Designer Labels 1 STAX
Joy Crafts Butterfly Circle
Joy Crafts Butterfly Flourish

This card is available to buy in my Etsy shop

In the Garden at ACR

Good morning and happy Friday! Boy am I looking forward to chillaxing at the weekend, work has been mental this week.

It's time for a new challenge at A Creative Romance, and today our theme is 'In the Garden'

For my make today I've used Saturated Canary's Gardner Gayle, from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, but this time I coloured her with distress inks and gave her a vintage feel, using Pion Design's Vintage Garden papers. There's a list of products used with links to the store at the end of my post.

All papers have been distressed and inked with Walnut Stain distress ink and then hand sewn.
She was coloured with the following inks:

Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Fired Brick
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, Broken Twigs
Clothing and Flowers: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Weathered Wood, Old Paper,  Bundled Sage, Black Soot, Scattered Straw.
Basket: Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Broken Twigs

I used some beautiful die cuts made with some La-La Land dies. The card stock is a beautiful iridescent one, but sadly it isn't showing up on camera, which is a shame as it's quite lovely in the flesh.

The beautiful lace and ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl, the bling is from The Hamdcrafted Card Company.

I finished off the inside quite simply with one of the 6 x 6 sheets. Flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.
Distress Ink Walnut Stain
Pink Loopy Ribbon
Pearlescent Cardstock

Do go take a look at the blog, the girls have created some fabulous makes to inspire you and why not join in with our challenge?  We're also looking for talented people to join us for a Guest DT spot, so if that sounds good to you, just pop GDT after your name when you enter.

Our sponsor this week is BunnyZoe's Crafts and they are offering a great prize.

That's all from me today, I'll be back on Sunday with my make for Totally Tilda, have a great weekend! :) xx

September Kit Club at La-La Land Crafts

Happy Tuesday folks! The September Club kit should be winging it's way to people right now with it's exclusive stamps and dies.  If you don't know about the new Club, you can find more information here.

This month's kit is super cute and contains a rubber stamp of  Marci dressed up in a cat costume with some great Autumnal/Halloween themed rubber stamps and dies.

For my first project I made a cute Autumn card, using all the dies from the kit except for the banner.

I sat Marci on some of the branch die cuts, and added a bunch of leaves to the flowers and berries I used.  Love these papers from Maja Design, one of my all time favourite collections.
I do love these leaf dies, I used a shaping tool and my foam piercing mat to shape them and give them dimension, I think they look so cool like this.

For my second project I made a little gift bag for some Halloween treats, and used the Banner die, the leaf dies again and the grouped pumpkin stamp....oh and Marci of course!

The lovely papers are from Authentiqe.  Here you can see the dimension of those leaves and pumpkins that have been shaped.

We have lots of make for you to look at today, with 3 more of the DT showcasing their makes over on the La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Blog, so do check them out.  If you've ordered your kit we would LOVE to see you share your makes over on our Facebook Group.

If you didn't sign up in time for September's kit, you still have plenty of time to sign up for the next one, and I can tell you it's really good....but more than that I can't say, because it's a surprise!

Well that's all from me today, but I'll be back on Friday with my ACR and D2D4 makes, it's a busy, busy week! :) xx

Emma with Sparkle and Glitz at Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone, it's the weekend tomorrow, yay! I plan on recharging my batteries with a bit of a lay in and some crafting time.

I have another Saturated Canary design from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps to share and I've coloured up Emma again, but whereas last time she was soft and subtle, today she has some zing in her step.

She's stamped on to some Fabriano watercolour paper and coloured with a mix of Distress Ink pads and markers and some Inktense Pencils, I've popped the colours further down for you. I cut her out with the MFT Pierced Ovals Stax.

The gorgeous, gorgeous papers are by Glitz, and called Hoopla.  Green isn't a colour I usually use much, but I do love a pop of acid lime green and against the black and white I thought that these were so striking.

They've been edged with Black Soot distress ink and hand stitched with top stitch thread.

The beautiful butterfly is from Karla's Kreative Korner and the bling, which I've coloured to match with my Copics, is from the Handcrafted Card Company.

All the ribbon and lace is from The Ribbon Girl, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Colours used:
Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Fired Brick
Hair: Black Soot
Clothing: Shabby Shutters, Black Soot used with Sherbet Lemon Inktense Pencil
Background: Shabby Shutters

I smothered her dress with Glamour Dust to make her sparkle and shimmer.

I've decorated the inside to match up with the front and with plenty of room for a message.

This card is for sale in my Etsy shop

I'm entering this into Live and Love Crafts - Things with Wings Challenge

That's all from me today, I'll see you again next week with something new to share.

Have fun! : ) x x

Novel GDT for LDRS

Happy Thursday peeps! Nearly the end of the week, I have a weekend of crafting lined up, what are your plans for the weekend?

I'm here to share my 2nd posting for the Beautiful Gorgeous release from Saturated Canary by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  I just love all the stamps in this collection.

Today I used 'Novel' and also the “For a Special Friend” sentiment from the new Friends Vintage Sentiment Collection, and teamed them with some beautiful papers from Kaisercraft. I probably should have put a warning at the beginning of my post, this card is BRIGHT!  lol, but I love the mix of orange and pink here.

The shape has been cut with a Grand Nestabilities and then I backed one of the little shapes from the paper pack, with card and glued that behind at the top for a bit of extra contrast. As usual my layers are inked with Distress Ink, I used Black Soot this time to match in with the black in the papers, and hand sewn with coloured top stitch thread.

The beautiful butterfly, which goes so well with these papers I think, is from Karla's Kreative Korner. I cut the corners of my image with a reverse corner punch and mounted it on some black cardstock. I used some Glamour Dust on the edges for interest, and glued some flat back peals in the corners. The pages behind her are cut with an MFT die.

I coloured Novel in Copics, the colours are listed for you below, and paper pieced the skirt of her dress. I gave the ends of her hair a dip in pink. The gorgeous bling on the bow is from the Handcrafted Card Company. The pen nib is by Tim Holtz

Skin: E11, E21, E00, E000. R20, E04
Hair:E50, E31. E37, R81, R83, R85, RV69
Clothes:R81, R83, R85, R89, YR68, YR61, E97
Background:W7, W5, W3, W1, 00, R81

To finish I decorated the inside to co-ordinate with the front. All the gorgeous ribbon, pearls, lace and some of the flowers, are from The Ribbon Girl, the rest of the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

If you're in the UK or Europe you can find Novel  at Dies to Die for.

This card is for sale now in my Etsy shop.

I do hope you like my card, thank you so much once again to Angie and Anne Marie for inviting me, I've had so much fun and would love to do it again!

Have fun everyone and I'll be back tomorrow with my inspiration post for Dies to Die for! : ) x x

Show the Way Tilda - Monochrome Christmas at Totally Tilda

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.  First of all I'd like to give a huge welcome to my newest followers (I noticed that I'm now at over 300!) and also a big thank you to my older followers for sticking with me. I'd also like to thank all the lovelies who take the time to leave me such wonderful messages, I really do appreciate it. I am bad at leaving comments, I don't always find the time between a full time job, all my DT work and family/home/friends to visit as many of you as I should and that's why I like to give out Candy from time to time as my way of saying thank you. I should have another for you in a few weeks time.

But enough of my ramblings, and on to the reason I'm here today.
It's time for a new challenge over at Totally Tilda and our theme this time is Monochrome Christmas Tilda.

So to enter your check list is as follows:
  1. Use a Magnolia Tilda stamp (sorry Edwin, it's Tildas only)
  2. Make sure your creation is a Christmas card
  3. Use shades of one colour. You can use white along with your chosen colour and it's acceptable to use normal hair and skin tones to colour Tilda.
and that's it!

I chose to use shades of pink ranging from almost white right through to a deeper magenta hue.

The shape is cut with a Go Kreate die and the gorgeous papers are the new collection from Pion Design - Days of Winter.  The snowflakes are by La-La Land craft. I popped a little bit of cheesecloth behind my layers and used some lovely pink tulle trim from The Ribbon Girls. All edges (except the snowflakes which I forgot lol) have been inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and I've handstiched my layers as usual.

I used Show The Way Tilda, isnt she sweet?  The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set.
She's stamped with Versafine Ink in Vintage Sepia which gives a subtler look to the colouring, but I like to touch in the eyes with a black pencil or marker for definition.
She's stamped onto Watercolour paper (I actually can't remember which one this is as I use a few) and cut out with an MFT postage die. I stamped a few snowflakes with some Memento brilliance ink, and used a little frantage in Shabby Pink and Aged Rose.

The colouring is done with Distress Inks.

Skin: Tattered Rose, Tea Dye
Hair: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain
Clothing: Victorian Velvet, Black Soot

The flowers are a mix from The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts, and I dipped them in glue and some Twinklets glitter to make them look frosted.

I added some gems to the centres of my snowflakes and added a diamante snowflake embellishment from the Handcrafted Card Company.

The inside is decorated with matching papers.  I rarely stitch the insides of my cards because it's just too time consuming with my current schedule.

I've added links to some of the items below that I can remember, you can probably google the rest.

This card will be available in my Etsy shop.
This card is now sold

So why not join in with our easy challenge, I'm sure you still have Christmas cards to make and it's getting closer by the day.  You could win a fabulous prize of a gift token from our wonderful sponsors

Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's awesome makes on the blog for inspiration, and leave them some love.

I'm entering (and it's a looooong time since I did this) my card into the following challenges:

I'm in the process of cleaning up my blog a bit to help it load faster and just make neater, so don't panic and think you've come to the wrong place if the look changes a bit.

That's all from me, I'll see you again on Tuesday with some more inspiration.
Have fun! : ) x x

Champange Lucy at Dies to Die for

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm back from my little holiday in Bath and here today with my latest make for Dies to Die for.

Today I'm using Champagne Lucy, from Mi Ran Jung  made by Whimsy Stamps.  I must admit that when I saw this stamp in my DT pack from Tracy I was soooo happy, I've been itching to colour up some of Mi Ran's artwork.

I teamed her with these gorgeous papers from Authentique, Elegant.  I know I've used these papers a few times now, but the Turquoise, White and Black colourway is just so striking. Layers have been inked, distressed and hand stitched.

I've put the list of items used, with links where possible at the end of my post. I added plenty of glitter to her feather boa and for once you can actually see it in the photos lol!

Champagne Lucy has been coloured in Copics:

Skin: E11, E21. E00, E000, R20
Hair: W9, W7, W5, W3, B000
Clothing: W9, W7, W5, BG0000, BG01, BG05

The beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and The Ribbon Girl. The lovely 'glass butterfly is from Karla's Kreative Korner and the gorgeous bling is from The Handcrafted Card Company.

The inside is simply finished with a couple of sheets from the same pack.

            Bazzil Basics Artesian Pool
          Jumbo Banner Stax - MFT

That's all from me for today, but I'll be back here on Sunday with some more inspiration for Totally Tilda, and I'll try to catch up with your blogs this weekend : ) x x

The beautiful lace (which as usual I have almost covered), the pleated satin trim around the image and the lovely shabby seam binding are from Live and Love Crafts.

Flowers are a mix from several different places, including The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The beautiful pearl and diamante embellishment is from The Handcrafted Card company.

The inside is decorated with a piece of coordinating paper from the collection.
